As far as my customer survival mode goes, I just play regular mode with no HUD and just stick true to role playing, I never rush anything and treat every scenario as if permadeath was on. It sometimes takes me 30mins t clear an outpost/bonfire out because I recon, plan, stalk and take them out one by one stealthily.
